And not just any Zarah and Bryan but My Zarah and Her Bryan.
As in, my daughter and her new husband. Now really, every wedding is special but speaking for parents everywhere, their kid’s wedding is even more so. Last month, family and friends representing Missouri, Montana, Wisconsin, Oregon, Nevada, California, and Hawaii converged on Issaquah’s Tibbetts Creek where, amazing as it sounds, Z set the menu and catered the food and drinks! So with Z firmly in charge and Project Manager, Jennifer, coordinating all the way, nothing could and would go wrong.
The day was spectacular!
Let me count the ways: ukulele and slack-key guitarist from Hawaii, a hula with niece, Kuhi, to start the ceremony, signature drinks, flowers from our garden, yard games, fiddle/guitar duo The Summer Januaries, Aunt Sisi’s rich and mesmerizing hula and another whimsically cute one by Fay and Sean, a whole roasted pig amongst other local and island favs, our Studio-on-the-Go, cakes w/ice cream table, a Street Donuts truck and of course, the perfectly warm, dry and beautiful August day! Yes, all weddings are special but Z and B’s wedding was no ka oi.
