It was a very Sense and Sensibility evening.

Davi and Shelby thought of everything–beautiful and delicious food, gorgeous decor, great music and lots of fun vendors.  And did I mention the whiskey tasting?

Our Studio-on-the-Go gave all the guests a chance to strike a pose and take home a fun party favor.

It was great to see The SweetSide, BAKED Custom Cakes, Flower Lab, 206 Events, A Heavenly Ceremony, LLC, British Motor Coach  & White Stole!

…got married in the Rose Garden!

It was very sweet and very simple.  Bride, groom, 6 assorted family and friends, Pat from A Heavenly Ceremony and US!  The day was very them and exactly what they wanted.

Now I know that the Irish/British/Canadian combination equals non-stop laughing.  These people were a hoot!    They laughed, they kissed, they hugged as we ran around the Rose Garden seeking out shade, breezes and roses.

It was an all-Seattle celebration for ultra-runners Amy and John!

This fun couple picked a super time and place for their wedding. Beginning at home in Magnolia and the Roosevelt Hotel, then continuing with wedding party and family photos at the Seattle Center.   The ceremony and reception was in the Space Needle‘s Skyline event and banquet level.  Another lucky day, weather wise!  Kent from A Heavenly Ceremony  gave a great ceremony, as always. We loved the cultural aspect Brits/Aussies/South Africans/colonists bring their toasts–they work REALLY, really hard on them and create these lovely, charming, funny, insightful and meaningful toasts.

Luckily Seattle remained safe, even though much of the SWAT team was a the wedding.  Their friend made an awesomely beautiful cake–and they had a candy bar full of sweet treats.  Penn State, John’s alma mater,  even made an appearance in the garter.

Aside from getting to be around all their great family and friends, I loved being around all the accents.  I learned about Lady Muck, a much more lovely way to say ‘mascara’ and what Tim Tams are!

Mindy and Ron tied the knot in Snohomish at the Antheia Ballroom!

And there were SO many great things about this day!  But if you twisted my arm for my top picks, here they are…

My first favorite thing about this wedding was Mindy’s look–she totally had that glamour, rockin bride look going.  (and she loved working it for the camera!) My next favorite thing was their ceremony–it was funny, it was sweet, it was very them.  And nobody does personal and charming ceremonies like Pat from A Heavenly Ceremony!  Next favorite–cake!!!  It was SUPER moist and have you ever had strawberry-lemonade cake before?  It’s delish!

The reception was full of dancing and fun, but what Scott and I kept commenting on was how much these two truly adored each other.  It was there every time they looked at each other, every word that passed between them.  It was a truly LOVE-ly day.

Venue:  Antheia Ballroom in Snohomish

Officiant:  Pat from A Heavenly Ceremony

DJ:  Sounds Unlimited

Cake:  Her friend Heather Armstrong who really should launch a business! 🙂

Hair:  Salon Ambience in Snohomish

What do you get when you mix sunshine, Pike’s Market, ‘sushi’ cake, and the fabulously beautiful, turn-of-century-old facility of Herban Feast at Sodo Park?  Ge-OR-geous!  Then throw in super vendors,  Bamboo Beats and A Heavenly Ceremony??  Fun, eventful, unforgettable – simply Wedding Awesomeness!

Loved this wedding day.  Rachel was so giddy and sweet.  And she didn’t say “ew” when I guided her toward the gum wall in Post Alley.  Allen and the boys mastered the “look cool” direction really quickly.  I’m guessing it was a nod to Allen’s family business to use restaurant order pad tickets to assign the table numbers–I loved that touch!

Herban Feast’s feast was scrumptious as usual – as was the service – but the sushi cake (you read right) from Celebrity Cakes was gushed at and adored by all.  And we got to stay through the dancing to the fabulous end as they luxuriously slowly rolled down 1st Avenue, on their way to honeymoon in the South Pacific in a British Motor Coach.

Every year we end up photographing at one event site 3-4 times and this year, it’s the wonderful, neighborhood rustic, waterside Blue Ribbon Culinary and Cooking School. Have you ever seen anything as cute and unique as Cheryl’s button bouquet?  So resourceful,  she sourced Etsy for all of her cute button bouquet and boutonnieres.  Pat from A Heavenly Ceremony was awesome and warm, while our friends at Bamboo Beats spun da tunes!

We love destination weddings especially to fabulous places we’ve never been, and Cave B?  Absolutely fabulous!  Perched on the dry, rocky slopes just short of The Gorge amphitheater, the ceremony site at Sagecliffe overlooked the Columbia river gorge with distant, crystal clear vistas of cliffs leading to the waterway.  Another great thing about Cave B?  Situated in eastern Washington, the sun seems always shining!  Pat from A Heavenly Ceremony created another one of her lovely, touching ceremonies.  The wine blending; taking two different wines that are uniquely them, was an oh-so-sweet moment that fit in perfectly amongst the vines and grapes.  I could not get enough of beautiful Andrea and her cage veil.  Isn’t that just the prettiest accessory ever?  Super yummy Trophy Cupcakes made the long trip across the mountains and so did the fabulous team from Bamboo Beats, who rocked the party, as they always do…
